Wensleydale Dental Practice is proud to offer patients several options for teeth whitening by the EU Councils Directive.

It states that only registered dental professionals can legally perform teeth whitening.

Zoom! – Up to six shades whiter in one hour

Philips Zoom tooth whitening gives you effective results in just one hour!

Initially, you will have a consultation with your dentist, who will discuss your needs and wishes, and then the treatment process with you. When you decide to go ahead with treatment, impressions will be taken so that custom-made trays can be made in the laboratory. A starting tooth shade will be taken along with photographs. An appointment is then made for the treatment to be performed around a week later.

At this appointment, one of our trained, registered professionals will ensure you understand the treatment process and gain your full consent. Once happy, treatment then begins!

The Zoom! treatment involves using a combination of a hydrogen peroxide gel and a specially designed lamp in conjunction with each other to produce maximum whitening results in the shortest possible time. During the procedure, the whitening gel will be applied to your teeth, and your teeth will be exposed to the light from the Zoom! Lamp for up to three (3) 15-minute sessions.

Once the session is completed, a further tooth shade and photograph are taken so that you can see the results for yourself.

A take-home whitening kit is then supplied so that you can keep your beautiful white smile!

Custom whitening take-home kits

If you feel that our in-surgery procedure is not for you, we can provide our patients with a custom-made take-home kit, which leaves you in full control.

At your initial consultation, your dentist will discuss your needs and wishes, then the treatment process. Impressions will then be taken so that customs trays can be made in the laboratory. A second appointment will then be made around a week later.

When you return, your dentist will ensure that your custom trays fit you perfectly and demonstrate how to apply the whitening gel to your trays. At this point, your dentist will fit the loaded tray for your safety to ensure that you do not have any adverse reactions.

Once you and your dentist are happy, you can use your custom whitening kit at your convenience.

Opalescence Go

The simple, fast, great-tasting way to top up previously whitened teeth! It is also great for people who only want to slightly lighten their teeth shade.

Opalescence Go comes in a preloaded tray, which means no impressions and no waiting time! Once your dentist has assessed your oral status and tested the product material on you, that same day, you can start whitening your teeth.
